Intrarmural Sports Better Then Ever at Suny New Paltz

The 2008 fall semester bought about many changes for the intramural sports program at Suny New Paltz. These changes, such as more advertising of the program, an up to the minute e-mail system, a forfeit fee and an overall point system are due to the addition of Joe Deck, the newly appointed coordinator of intramural. Even though this is only Joe Deck's first year serving as coordinator of intramural a notable turn for the better has been taken, which is evident in the turnout and anticipation of the participants.
Amongst all of the changes the one that stands out the most is the overall point system. This rewards teams points for each event they compete in resulting in an overall champion at the end of the year. This not only makes the intramural program more competitive and official, but gives teams motivation to sign up for multiple events and stay active within the program.
So far Joe Deck is doing a wonderful job and is doing everything in his power to improve the intramural program and. Due to his commitment the enthusiasm along with the turn out has been better then ever before.
