Cellulose Fueling Cars?
I'm thinking of doing my next feature on alternative, renewable energy sources and this article caught my eye! As the country becomes more and more dependent on expensive foreign oil that is gradually running out, different alternatives must be investigated for the future. This article offers the alternative of cellulose, a molecule from plants that, when converted, can serve as a continuous and readily available energy source. This article from Wired Magazine discusses the different aspects of the process, the benefits and the drawbacks. The energy crisis in this country can not be ignored any longer, and alternatives such as cellulose will become a reality for our generation.
