Britney Breaks Records.
Britney Spears is officially back on top. Her new single "Womanizer" took a 96-1 jump on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Ms. Spears a No. 1 debut for the first time since 1999's "...Baby One More Time." Her single has sold 286,000 digital copies in the first week, the most by a female artist since digital downloads have been tracked. The past three years have been a disaster for Spears, to say the least. However, over the last couple of months Britney has emerged from the ashes and seems to be picking up the pieces to her jig-saw puzzled life; and they seem to be falling perfectly into place for her. She recently made an appearance at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards which boosted ratings, she's releasing her sixth studio album, properly titled "Circus", on December 2nd, she's released "Womanizer" along with a video which received close to 3 million views in 48 hours and she is planning a world tour backed by the entertainment company AEG. Not to mention she has a tell-all documentary slated to air on MTV November 30th, in which Britney is seen in the preview revealing "I'm a smart person, what the hell was I thinking?" Looks like Britney Spears is ready to claim her spot at the top of the world again.
