Habitat Loss Threatens Many Animals
A study cited in the New York Times says that one in four mammals is in danger of extinction because of habitat loss. There are currently 188 mammals considered critically endangered. If this doesn't sound bad enough many of these estimates were made without taking into account global warming. Within our lifetime hundreds of these species would be gone. That's kind of scary to think about.
