The Beatles Get an iPod...But With A Catch
As a sort of follow-up to last week's post, this week is another dose of Beatles in the news. Bloomingdale's, the popular NYC department store, has just released a Limited Edition Ultimate Collector's Beatles Box Set, containing every major studio album, an engraved guitar pick, a box designed by Robert Godley's Psycho Bunny, and, most notably, a 120 gig black iPod designed with a minimalist Beatles slant. At a modest $795.00, it's not exactly cheap. However, it is the closest we'll ever get to the often rumored thought of an official Apple-designed Beatles iPod, much in the vain of the U2 iPod of 2005. Would I buy it? Considering I have nearly every album listed here, as well as the generally more-superior iPod Touch, I'll pass. But, that box sure does look neat.
