Vibe Magazine's Best Rapper Alive Contest

Vibe Magazine recently did a Best Rapper Alive march madness-style tournament, complete with brackets, for their 15th anniversary. Reader votes and input from the magazine's staff was used to decide who won the matchups. It came out yesterday that Eminem was declared the winner. While I do not agree with the decision (Jay-Z is the rightful champ, in my opinion), I can see how the people came to it. What I do take issue with is the "competitors" in this contest. Soulja Boy? Trina? Bow Wow? Lil' Boosie? Webbie? Flo Rida? Seriously, how did people like this even get considered? Soulja Bou and Flo Rida have come out with ONE ALBUM EACH. Where are the pioneers? Where is KRS-One, Rakim, MC Lyte, Eric Sermon, MC Shan, Masta Ace or Ice-T? And that's just to name a few. Also, some underground artists desreve to be on there more than some of the artists on the page. Vibe, with it's rich history with hip-hop, could have done a lot better.
