Today was the last day of the 2008 US Open for tennis. Currently, Venus Williams and Jelena Jankovic are battling for the 2008 US Open Championship. After the match, one will become the number 1 player on the woman's tour. The tournament started on August 25th. Jankovic, 23, now a Florida native, is originally from Serbia. Williams, 26, lives in Florida as well, but is originally from California.
There have been a number of celebrity sightings at the event including Will Farrell, Charlize Theron, Kelsey Grammer, Sergio Garcia, and Alec Baldwin, among others.
