Culture in Iraq

If you like orchestral music, give the Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra a try.

I read an article about this orchestra and it's director and co-conductor, Karim Wasfi. The article also has a link to an awesome interview with him where he talks about why he keeps the orchestra going even though there are dangers in doing it. Each concert that they play could be a potential target but he knows that music and culture is important to the rehabilitation of Iraq.

It's amazing to see what music means to people and the lengths that they will go to to experience it.
