Less Funding for Pell Grants?

This article talks about the need for up to 6 billion more dollars to provide for Pell Grants. Currently, there are 800,000 more people who applied for aid than there were last year, and the Pell Grants provide money for 6 million students. With this increase of not only aid applicants but people attending college the grants are going to need more money; college is too expensive for many people to afford without some type of aid. The Pell Grants make college possible for many low-income students. However, there is some good news. Because the Pell Grant is a popular form of aid there's a good chance that it won't be cut.
