Tragedy Can Happen to Celebrities too

I woke up today to some frightening news: Travis Barker and DJ AM were critically injured in a plane crash after their concert in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday night.  Although I'm not big fans of either (except for Barker's "Meet the Barkers" which was reality TV at its worst, which also made it so addicting) it's still sad to see tragedy happen to musicians coming or leaving shows.

The two were performing together as TRVSDJ-AM at a free concert for college kids in the streets of Five Points, which is a neighborhood close to the University of South Carolina.  After takeoff, air traffic controllers noticed sparks coming from their plane and then watched as it quickly veered off the runway hitting antennas and a fence and then engulfed into flames.  Four were killed including the pilot and co-pilot, but Barker and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) remain in critical condition in a burn unit in Augusta, Georgia.

It's sad to think of all the musicians we've lost, hopefully these two will pull through.
