Is High School Journalism Vanishing?
A recent article in The Nation puts the spotlight on High School Journalism...or the lack thereof. The article talks about how new technology is replacing the traditional school newspaper. We had a paper at my high school in upstate New York and I hope they're still publishing it. It is not surprising to read about the shift to new technology what with some students being lost without their iPods and cell phones. Hopefully, though, traditional Journalism will prevail and High School students won't totally lose touch with the process of creating a newspaper.
