You May be Ingesting More Chemicals Than You Think

Plastic may seem a really convenient means of storing food and beverages, but research has shown that it is bad for your health. A recent article on the National Geographic website states that an ingredient in some plastics, called Bisphenol A (BPA), could potentially cause diabetes and heart disease. The article which sites a study, claims that this is actually old news. For years scientists have been warning that this chemical acts like hormones in the body, resultantly causing brain damage. Yet even though there's all of this evidence from numerous studies, the FDA maintains it's stance that the chemical is safe for humans.
This article was really quite interesting and it includes ways to avoid exposure to BPA, like drinking from glass bottles.
