Love is in the tabloids

While most citizens of the U.S. quarrel over who will be the next President, I bypass political news articles and head straight toward the “celebrity gossip section.” Although I’m not exactly as prompt as Yahoo’s OMG! Website when it comes to the sharing of new information, I try to be as on top of things as I can. With that typed, Halle Berry is rumored to be engaged to French Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, who also fathered her adorable daughter, Nahla.
Why is this so important? Well, not only am I typing about what has to be one of the world’s most gorgeous couples but because this could mean that Berry – a smart, strong and internally beautiful woman – who refused to ever be married after being cheated on by former partner, singer Eric Benet, has said YES to marriage for the third time!
I think it’s one for the books because Berry once seemed completely comfortable with the idea of never being married and was sort-of on Oprah Winfrey’s blessed good-side. (Winfrey has been refusing marriage for over 15 years and is practically married under “living laws”).
Although I’m not exactly sure what reasons Berry and Aubry could be basing their alleged proposal, I’ll blame it on love. I think it just goes to show that attraction is phenomenal and no matter how much we may want to figure it out, we can’t.
P.S. I’ll add something political to this by pointing out that Halle Berry is a Barack Obama supporter : )
