Hey guys. Sorry for the late post!
I read a book called The Gargoyle this summer. It just came out in July and it's Andrew Davidson's first novel. Here is a good review of it that I read in the Times. The story tells of a once physically beautiful, sexually overactive, drug abusive man who learns to live by the power of love after a car accident burns and deforms his entire body. The object of his affection, Marianne Engel, claims that they had known and loved each other in a previous life dating back to the 14th century. It is full of irony and great, concise writing. I recommend it to anyone who has the time this semester or whenever.
