Thunder God's hammer crushes German charts

Amon Amarth's newest release, "Twilight of the Thunder God," has made it to the #6 position on the German Media Control charts.  Additionally, the album made it to #10 in Finland, and to #11 in Sweden, the band's home country.  These statistics were made conveniently available by Blabbermouth.net.

I know what you're thinking: why the hell hasn't the album made its way onto U.S. charts?  Because Americans are too busy buying the new Metallica album, which is currently at the #1 position on the Billboard 200.

Granted, "Twilight Of The Thunder God" has only been out in the U.S. for three days, it's still kind of infuriating.  I guess we'll have to wait and see how this one does.  For the record, the album is excellent, as the epic cover art suggests.
