Over the past weekend, a huge music festival in Austin, Texas known as Austin City Limits took place, where tons of bands/artists ranging from Beck, David Byrne (of the Talking Heads) to Erykah Badu and MGMT played. Consisting of eight stages, the festival has only been around since 2002, and the name Austin City Limits originated from a show on PBS whose focus was on Texas singer/songwriters, and country and folk performers. This year, the attendance averaged daily was 65,000.
Nate Chinen of the New York Times writes more about the 3-day event in the article here.
