As we all know TRL which is also known as Total Request Live has been around since 1998. Many artists such as Britney Spears and N'sync were able launch their careers and albums through this show. Normally, TRL will show the top 10 songs of the days as chosen by viewers and fans. Also the hosts will have little competitions for audiences to win prices and the artist will join in as well.
Unfortunately, their ratings have dropped and the show was cancelled. Their last show aired on Nov. 16th with a two hour finale with a countdown of the most popular songs chosen by fans throughout the crazy years. This is a sad reality for many of those that follow music, such as myself. Memories of me running home after school to watch TRL will always be in my thoughts as i watch MTV now and no longer watch "guest appearances" arrive or crazy fans outside Times Square. =(
