A Darker Scene

This week the new James Bond film came out to raving reviews from critics this week The reviews point out that the film has the regular items that make this a classic Bond film (i.e. the hot ladies, hot cars and sexy fight scenes) but there is something new this time around: there is a darker turn to the series now. In the past we would see car crashes and gun fights which Bond would come out of unscathed. Not this time apparently. If you check out "Quantum of Solace" you will see James Bond bleed (and without a perfect shave. Imagine, saving the world and not having time to meet with a razor!). How exciting!

This new movie is not alone in changing an old series. Do we even need to point out the differences between the new maniacal/deranged Joker in Batman compared to part played by Jack Nicholson? I didn't think so.

Even if you compare the first two Harry Potter films to the last three, you can see a dramatic change. While a much newer series compared to the other two, the point is the same. Hollywood is going dark. And we like it.
