Last week I went to see the new Seth Rogen movie "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" which was directed by Kevin Smith. Going into the theater I expected a raunchy comedy, based on the title and the trailer, but what I got was a feel good romantic comedy. The movie was entertaining and had it's fair share of funny moments, however most of the jokes were toilet humor and relied heavily on shock value. The film really pushed the bar on how far the R rating can be stretched, but still ended up being a romantic comedy. Overall the film wasn't terrible, it was able to hold my attention throughout, but the balance felt off and I just expected more from the combination of Smith and Rogen. I really thought the two would be able to deliver something better.
