Rand Bishop, a country music songwriter, has written a new book to try and help up and coming songwriters make it in the business. The book, Makin' Stuff Up (Secrets of Songcraft and Survival in the Music-Biz), is a memoir of Bishop's 40 years in the music business and a book to teach songwriters how to survive in the music industry.
I can't wait to pick up the book and for those who would like to get a head start, Bishop has a website to go along with the book. For those trying to get into the music business, a book like this from a man who has penned songs for Toby Keith and the Beach Boys, this is a book that should be a must read. He has 180 songs on his roster, and one number one for Toby Keith. He has a career to look up to when it comes to song writing.
