The oldest person in the world, recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records, has died.
Edna Parker, age 115 passed away in an Indiana nursing home on Wednesday. Born in April of 1893, Edna outlived both her sons, and had 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren!
It amazes me that someone has lived for over a century. When I think back on all that has happened in the last 100 years, it is crazy that someone has witnessed it all.
The oldest person noted in the Guiness Book of World Records is now Maria de Jesus of Portugal- who was also born in 1893, but in September.
