Plaxico Burress Proves: Money And Fame Do Not Buy Smarts

Plaxico Burress, receiver for the New York Giants proved true the "dumb jock" stereotype Friday night.  Burress will surrender himself to the New York City Police on Monday, charged for criminal possession of a handgun.  Burress, though brilliant on the field, accidentally shot himself in the leg, with his own gun, in a night club friday.  He is pleading not guilty, sided by lawyer Benjamin Brafman who's star-studded clientele has included P. Diddy, though then called Puff Daddy.  The New York times had this to say on the subject.
