The entertainment community lost a giant when it came to heart and ideas this passed Wednesday as Micheal Crichton died at the age of 66 after losing a battle with cancer. As a child I grew up admiring the work of Crichton with his book turned movie Jurassic Park. For the record, I personally feel that the imagery portrayed in the book was far better than that of anything Hollywood did with it (as is the case with most books turned movie). Then later on in life my girlfriend and I learned to appreciate Crichton on another level. This time with the show E.R. (admittedly I got into it). It was at this time that I discovered the man who brought science and medicine into so much of his most popularized work studied at the Harvard School of Medicine. I was quite intrigued and must say that I was impressed. Let Crichton live on and check out some of his work.
