For the next assignment in the J1 class, I will be putting a spotlight on a fantastic record store in the town of Red Hook. Hong Kong Records, formerly a baseball card shop with few records and now a full-fledged record shop with no baseball cards, is a small beacon of independent hope when mega-retailers like Best Buy are jumping in the vinyl bandwagon. Should be an interesting article when I talk to the sole employee of the place, the owner who I've currently christened "Post-Metal Beard Guy."
And, who knows, I might finally buy that Minor Threat ep in the process!
