In one paragraph a youth organizer, Adam Jung, was quoted as saying "The only difference between the two parties is marketing," and "Electing Democrats to end the war is like drinking light beer to lose weight." Although a democrat, I do believe that there are fundemental similarities and beliefs both parties share and certain interests both candidates must push based on their parties beliefs. The greatest President this country will ever see is one who does not affiliate with extreme beliefs but who is bipartisan across the board.
When Rage tried to perform numerous times during the days of the Republican National Convention, they had permits to perform revoked again and again until, in an inspiring moment, they performed "Bulls on Parade" and "Killing in the Name" with megaphones as the gathered crowd surrounded them. Overall, the band reminded me of Obama in that Rage told the crowd that the police should be afraid of them, not the four band members. Obama has said that change in Washington should not take place at the top but from the bottom with the citizens who are America. Good read and definitly has interested me into listening to more Rage Against the Machine.
