Mets Trying to hold on

The New York Mets are barely holding on to first place. They are one game ahead keeping them in first place. Right behind them are the Philadelphia Phillies. The Mets lost their first game in a double header to them earlier today with the final score of 6-2. Pedro Martinez gave up a three run home run in the fourth inning. Martinez did not perform well against them two weeks ago when they were in Philadelphia. The Mets have one less pitcher in the rotation since Billy Wagner has been injured since August. With the season almost over, hopefully they can finish in first and make it to the playoffs. It would be a shame for them to drop down in standings right at the end.
