Tyler and the Journalism Post: "Amazon Sells $38.45 HDTV, Bargain Buyer Heads Explode"

Gizmodo, one of my personal favorite websites, recently reported a story that's sure to have your eyebrows raised and your credit cards burning. According to the sale listed on a store called "myOfficeSource," which is run through Amazon.com, a 52-inch Sharp Aquos HDTV, normally listed at the price of $2,299.99, is on sale for $38.45. Yes, in American dollars.

Now, I'm no wiz-kid about economics and the way sales work...but isn't there some kind of legal jargon that prevents this kind of stuff from happening? Sure, it could be the most elaborate scam in the world of internet shopping (which, according to reports, it probably is). But, could a retailer truly pull that kind of sale off? It makes me wonder the possibility of "The Ultimate Bargain" becoming a reality.

It also makes me wonder if I have the $38.45 to find out...
