Since bursting on the alternative rock scene in 2003 with Saosin, Anthony Green has been one of the most recognized and respected lead singer of the genre. After only one year with Saosin and despite the success of their first release, Translating the Name, Green left the band due to being homesick. Shortly after Green formed Circa Survive, which was based out of his home town of Philadelphia. After years of being a front man Antony Green decided to embark on a solo project. His solo debut Avalon, is a lot softer then any of his previous endeavors and every track besides from the first single, I've Been Dying To Reach You, is nothing more then a few chords on the acoustic guitar. However it is the simplicity that makes the album what it is. Anthony Green is currently on tour and Avalon, which was released August 5th 2008, peaked at number 44 on the Billboard 200 chart.

It's a pretty neat album. Totally unlike the proggy, spastic stuff that comes out of Circa Survive.
I actually met Anthony Green before a Thrice/Circa Survive/Pelican concert in Clifton Park, NY. He's soft-spoken and one of the weirdest musicians I've ever met.
Yeah I've meet him a number of times. At every Circa Survive show I've ever been to he's always came into the crowd after his set to hang out with his fans. Then I meet him at one of the album release shows he did for Avalon. He certainly is an interesting and very unquie person.
I love Anthony Green!
