Eat To Save Your Life

After our trip to Brook Farm, this article seemed highly relevant.

In New York City alone there are over 13,000 restaurants, so it came as some surprise that this article claimed that Americans know nothing about food. Perhaps it is now a case of people not knowing anything about 'good food'. Surely Farmer Dan taught us all a thing or two?

If not, take the 'test' and work out what part of the 'food grief cycle' you fit into. If everyone read the 10 steps to better health, we might just be closer to a revolution this article calls, The Slow Food Nation.

If you haven't looked into it already, read "The Omnivores Dilemma" by Michael Pollen. Easily one of the most informative books on America's history, relationship, and attitudes about food, from the dirt to you stomach.
