Viva La Peta

According to NYmag.com the animal activists behind Peta found themselves a new target. At this years Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week held in NYC Donna Karan found the brunt of the animal supporters. They stood outside chanting with their posters wearing fake fur covered in blood. But it gets better, protesters actually got on stage during the finale and were quickly escorted off by security.

This is not the first time they went after this American designer. The New York Post reported back in February that Donna Karan's personal assistant allowed for a Peta activist to unknowingly come into her home. When Karan came home the woman showed her a graphic DVD of animals being harvested for their pelts. She then had security escort her out after telling her she didn't have time to watch it.

Its completely understandable why Peta feels so strongly about what they stand for. You can't help but believe in them. As both an animal and fashion lover myself you must learn to draw the line. There are plenty of fashion designers that are fur free including design houses as big as Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole. I avidly support Peta and think everyone else should as well.
