Four Christmases, Two Thumbs Down

I had no intention of blogging about this movie but another blogger had the audacity to say it was a good film and I felt the need to set the record straight. I saw this film with my mother and after 30 minutes we looked at eachother and agreed this movie was not worth our time. The scenes aren't funny or believable (maybe this was the biggest issue for us. When you have a film like The Matrix you go in with a different mindset but this movie was set in the real world and was absurd. When does a group of seven and eight year olds physically attack a grown women, as Resse Witherspoon experiences? Are you kidding?!)

Thankfully, there was another movie we were able to sneak into and this film was great. I highly suggest "Role Models" to anyone who enjoyed Superbad, Knocked Up or American Pie. The humor is very similar and there is a touching story woven into the hilarious nature of the film. We've heard a lot about Michael Cera being that awkward heartwarming sidesplitting individual in films but he better watch out for Christopher Mintz-Plasse. He's putting in work to steal the show and they will be fighting for the same roles in the next few years.

hey jeff,
I understand that you did not like the movie "Four Christmases" AT ALL. However, we all have our own opinions and diff. taste in films, so in MY opinion i think you could of expressed yourself in a more professional way than writing that i had the "audacity to say it was a good film and you felt the need to set the record straight". We are all educated students and there are other ways to express your own opinions without making others opinions seem worthless. =)

p.s. I also heard that "Role Models" was a great movie, i will def. watch it some time.
